Who I Am

Welcome!

My name is Brent Zitsman and I am passionate about all things Data. I am eager to make a difference for others and help to solve real- world problems through data and its applications. I love learning new skills and I hope to continue to grow and challenge myself in new ways.

I currently live and work in San Diego, CA with my lovely wife who is a passionate, and caring Family Medicine Doctor. We are both invested in our careers and life long learning, but also enjoy going to local events, traveling, laughing, and spending time down by the ocean with our two dogs.

You will also find me cheering on our local baseball team, Let's go Padres!

ADMIN ANALYST, SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY

  • Maintain and update Monthly Budget Reports

  •  Update Budget Projections using Adaptive

  • Compile, prepare, maintain, and distribute various financial information and reports

Bike Sales Dashboard

For this project, I used Excel to organize, clean, and share the data in a dashboard

  • Created a sheet for working data from raw data.

  • Made PivotTable from working data.

  • Designed an interactive dashboard using slicers to look at bike sales.

911 - Calls

This project was done using Google Colab and looks at 911 Calls with a focus on Visualizations using Seaborn.

  • Constructed a new feature for the data.

  • Inserted 3 new columns to examine the data more clearly.

Used Heatmaps to look at the frequency of calls finding that Saturday and Sunday have the fewest calls.

For this project, I looked at data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association. I looked at missing data related to Lighting Strikes.
